Project Coordination Units (PCUs))
PCUs shall be established at the zonal level, headed by the Zonal Executive Engineer (EE), with the revenue set up of the zone to support him. Now given the substantial O&M job these MODS zones are to perform on a continuous basis, a specific number of personnel like AEs and SAEs shall be provided by PMU to these units (PCUs) for an efficient execution of the works under the project. The PCU shall as well have a strong coordination role spanning all activities at the local level and for the full engagement of civil society committees including the Zonal Level Coordinating Committee which will be formed in each zone prior to commencement of construction work:
