Project Management Unit (PMU)

The Project Management Unit (PMU) will be headed by a full-time Project Director (PD) in the rank of DMD or Chief Engineer. He will be supported by 3 (three) new Deputy Project Directors (DPDs) in the rank of Superintending Engineers. The three DPDs will head each of the following sections: [1] Finance, Accounting & PR; [2] Technical-1 and Technical -2. In addition to above, the PMU will also have four (4) Executive Engineers who will help the two DPDs (Technical) manage the two divisions under them.

The PMU shall be responsible to process International / Local tender(s), selection of all consultants, issue of work order for respective components and the selected consultants will assist PMU during evaluation of tenders and selection of contractor(s) &/or supplier(s).

PMU’s responsibilities shall also entail the day-to-day management of the project implementation.
